The need for sanitation facilities in slums was raised by the Child Leaders while implementing the CTC approach. It was apparent that teaching children about safe water and personal hygiene is ineffective when their environment is not conducive to good hygienic practices. Phulki covered 24 thousands hygiene beneficiaries by 38 child group. Each group has 10 child leaders and each child leader has 10 friends whom they facilitated on hygiene promotion. We have 18 adolescent groups who facilitated menstrual hygiene management to community. Phulki formed 18 CBO groups who are responsible for WatSan project to run smoothly in future.

To ensure safe drinking water and sanitation Phulki has installed 29 tube-wells, 4 submergible pumps, 52 water point and 63 communal latrines. Besides Phulki constructed tow thousands feet derange system and installed van- trolley for solid waste management system.
